Shaz is an ongoing and evolving drawing project by Jennifer Brady, which navigates around themes of identity using a stream-of-consciousness drawing style. 

​

Beginning in late 2016 as an anonymous Instagram account (@shazm8), Shaz occupied the space between public and private; existence and non-existent. Shaz has no gender, age, face or identity - or at least didn't used to. In early 2017, as part of Bedrock Collective's Summer of Love exhibition at TAP Gallery in Surry Hills, Shaz entered the explicit public sphere and performed a 6-hour live drawing (Shaz Live Stream). Shaz also exhibited with international arts organisation, RAW, at Orion Function Centre, Campsie in July and November 2017.
